                                                              THE FUTURE

Everything was going well in the future. Life was going on as usual, with everyone getting stronger and stronger, easily killing simply annoying mobs. Then, something changed. The monsters got smarter, stronger, much powerful than they were every meant to be. Rumors spread that Lord Gar experimented on them and caused them to evolve to a higher form. Who else would want to make life harder for the denizens of Chaosville? But of course, no one could know for certain. It's not as if he left a note saying, "haha I made all the mobs stronger, losers". Well, maybe he left Dave or Gar a note.

Anyway, the creatures got insanely smart, as smart as regular humans. They coordinated their attacks, and struck. And man, did they strike hard. Chaosville had to evolve, fast, or die trying. Unfortunately, the latter happened. Humans could no longer evolve, while the enemy was doing nothing but evolving. Slowly but surely, the citizens of Chaosville began to disappear. The once tightly knit group quickly spread apart, and lost contact. No one could be trusted; anyone could be a spy for the enemy, or easily give away another one's hiding spot. Occasionally, they would bump into one another while looking for supplies, but they always kept silent, fearful that the enemy would hear them.

Funnily enough, no one ever saw Lying. Legend has it that he stayed in his own world, together with Stampy, and became a god. Which was ironic, because he was an atheist. Nipde, Dragon, Gar and Dave all separated into the four corners of the world. Jamie, with his buddy Nitro, ventured further and further into the clouds above. Some say that they even reached the End, and turned into Enderman, zipping across the world, checking up on everyone and sometimes helping them. As for Bunce and Liam, they stayed together, obviously. They thought they were safe underground. They continued building, and mining, but missed the company of everyone else. "Chaosville used to be so lively, so trusting. What's happened to us?" Liam once said, thinking out loud in a daze. Bunce knew that their friendship was the only thing they had left, and Liam knew that Bunce would go insane without company, so they both tried their hardest to live. Things were rough, but they weren't dying, that's for sure. Until that day, April 4th. Oh, it's Septimus' birthday today. I wonder how Delta Squid's planet is holding up. Bunce's musings were cut short by a cry for help.

"Bunce! Help! Friend!" Liam cried, as he was surrounded by sword carrying, quantum armored Zombies. Bunce rushed out into the clearing, and raced toward his friend. He jumped into the fray, and began battling back to back with Liam. They quickly began to find the enemy's weak point, the necks. They swung with their swords at every opportunity they could, and slowly, they began to take down the zombies. Finally, there was just one left. Liam waved Bunce off, telling him to go back inside. "I got this, it's only one." Bunce turned around and began to walk toward their home, but quickly decided against it and turned to face Liam. What he saw that day forever haunted him. Liam beheaded the monster, and turned around, just as the Zombie thrust his sword into Liam's chest. Bunce rushed toward him, and held him.

"You're going to be alright, I'll save you." he said, picking Liam up and carrying  him toward their base. He continued saying this, but mostly for his own good. Liam smiled sadly, knowing fully well what was going to happen.

"Bunce, listen to me. I'm not going to live." Liam whispered. Bunce gritted his teeth.

"Yes you are!" Bunce walked faster toward the base. Liam put his finger to Bunce's mouth, shushing him.

"I've been working on a project. A project that, if all turns out well, will stop this whole thing from ever happening to Chaosville. Go to my room and push the bed away. Under there, you'll find my secret room full of redstone and machinery. I've built most of the holographic machine, you just have to finish it," Bunce's eyes filled up with tears at this. "The coordinates you have to set it to are -260, -500, level 70.  The date, December 30th, 2013." Liam said with a cough.

"Those are the coordinates for Planet Delta Squid...and the date! Two years ago? I'm supposed to ask Delta Squid for help?" Bunce questioned, finally making it back inside with Liam. Liam nodded. "But Liam...you know I'm rubbish with machines. How am I supposed to finish a hologram device, no less?" he questioned, bringing Liam to his bedroom. Liam closed his eyes. "No...no! You can't die on me! Please!" he cried out, tears rushing down his face.

"You'll figure it out, Bunce. I know you will. The fate of Chaosville.....now rests on your hands." Liam lifted his head, and gave Bunce a final kiss, before going limp.

"Liam...." Bunce whispered, not believing his eyes. "LIAM!" he yelled, dropping to his knees. He set Liam down carefully, and quickly made a simple casket. Putting Liam inside, he buried him in the heart of the Tool cave, and made a tombstone for him. "Liam Jones, the best friend I ever had. The brother I never had," he carved into the stone. "1987 - 2015" he wiped away his tears as he finished. "I promise you Liam, I'll change history in your stead," he swore, standing up, and running to Liam's room. He quickly broke the bed, and pushed the rubble aside. Opening up the hatch, he walked down and saw the fruits of Liam's labors. "Alright, let's finish up this beauty," he spoke, looking in awe of Liam's handiwork.

                                                          A FEW MONTHS LATER

"It's not the best, certainly would have been better if you'd done it, but I think it works," Bunce stood up, brushing the soot off of him. "One chance to do this," he muttered to himself, and he stepped inside the machine, set the coordinates, and pulled the lever. He suddenly found himself next to Septimus and Cranesong  of Delta Squid. He felt himself still inside the machine though. Crane and Septimus began to ask him questions, but Bunce had no time for this. "Silence children!" he said in a loud voice, sounding angrier than he meant to sound. "I do not have much time. I have spent all of my redstone reserves into sending this message, from...the future! A future, torn apart by years of war. Chaosville is in the brink of destruction, and its citizens are facing unspeakable peril! All you must know is you must travel to Chaosville, at once! Your intervention is essential if there ever is to be a Chaosville!" he explained, knowing his time was running short.

"But..Chaosville? That's....really far away in space! How ever will we get there?" Crane sputtered in total confusion. Bunce ignored her, fully knowing that they would be able to figure it out themselves.

"Help us Delta Squid. You are our only hope," Bunce pleaded, as the world around him, his timeline, began to disappear. He repeated that message until he was engulfed in pure whiteness. He sighed in relief, knowing that his timeline must be vanishing due to Delta Squid saving the past Chaosville. He began to hear voices, familiar ones. The whiteness around him slowly transformed into a lush world, full of floating islands, and his friends. He saw Gar, Dave, Jamie, Dragon, Nipde, others, but most importantly, Liam. Liam turned around, and saw Bunce. They locked eyes for a moment, and Bunce ran to Liam and they kissed for a good minute. Suddenly, the pair was enveloped in a massive group hug.

"You guys did it! You saved Chaosville!" Dave congratulated the pair.

"Man, you guys are just too smart," Gar complimented them, giving Bunce a pat on the back. "Just wondering, where the heck are we?"

"I don't know, heaven?" Liam wondered, looking around.

"This isn't heaven, what the heck are you guys talking about?" the group looked up, and saw a slowly descending Lying. "This is Monroeville! I have no clue why you guys all ended up here when our version of the future died, or why I seem to have magical powers like the power to fly, but I'm not going to question it," Lying explained. Everyone just shook their head, knowing fully well that Lying had indeed became some superior being, and most likely teleported everyone into Monroeville. "So, who wants to watch Delta Squid somehow save the world?" he asked everyone, snapping his fingers, making a big television appear. The screen changed to Delta Squid, flying through the air to Chaosville. The group watched, as Mining Turtle Ted destroyed the world. The group began to face palm. However, they watched as Delta Squid put everyone on a new planet, and laughed as they tried to cover up what had just happened.

"Well, they did it! Lord Gar isn't there anymore to genetically modify the monsters, so our past selves are safe," Dave smiled.

"I'm just happy that we're all back together again, just like before," Liam commented, as he lay down on the grass. Everyone nodded, and they all laid down in Monroeville together, and watched their past selves mess around in their new world, together with Delta Squid.
